Dear ,
There’s nothing worse–nothing more debilitating–for the evolution of man than when he is slave to the drink.
He drinks when he is happy, to celebrate. He drinks when he is sad, to wallow. He drinks in the moments between, to pass the time. Caught in the grip of this vortex, he loses himself–he looks in the mirror, if he even dares, and faintly mutters:
“What have I become?”
He surveys his life and sees that his relationships, his marriage, his business, the futures of his children–all the good things he has built–all the good things in his life!–are under threat.
I know you feel this way now, because I was this man too.
For over 20 years I felt this way–alone, powerless, ashamed. My body was deteriorating. My teeth were falling out. I drank enough, snorted enough, and smoked enough to kill a herd of elephants.
Everything and everyone I loved, I lost–not once, not twice, but three times over–and then, I finally broke.
For the next 8 years I worked to rebuild my life, to claw tooth and nail out of the hole I had dug for myself. It was grueling. It was lonely. But it was also necessary. Because it was in this period that I was able to lay the foundation for the prosperity I now enjoy–to develop and refine the simple but commanding skills that have given nearly 13,000 men before you the power to say NO.
No, I will not drink.

I would’ve given any sum of money…$10,000…$100,000…even $1,000,000…to say and believe these words sooner, to get out of that hole faster–8 years, back then, felt like a lifetime.
